Kenneth Alexander
Former Florida State Seminole great Kenneth
Alexander was a leader for the Seminoles on and off of
the field. As a team captain in 1993, Alexander led FSU
with 122 tackles, including nine for loss. Alexander
played against his former teammate at LBJ, Greg Lane
when FSU played Notre Dame in 1993. FSU lost that
game to Notre Dame, 31-24. Also an
excellent student, Alexander earned Academic All-America
and ACC All-Academic honors and was the recipient of an
NCAA postgraduate scholarship. Alexander lives in
Tallahassee and is an attorney in the Legal Division for
the Department of Financial Services.

Lucius greatly improved his fitness and
conditioning since arriving on campus. 2005: Saw
a good deal of time with the junior varsity and limited
varsity action. 2004: Appeared in final two games
of the season...Spent most of the year with the junior
varsity. High School: Earned three letters in
football, serving as captain in senior year...Also
lettered twice in basketball and twice in
track...Three-year all-district selection...All-CenTex
as a senior...Nominated for Wendy's High School Heisman
Scholarship Award and the Franklin Watkins Award for
African-American Scholar-Athletes. Personal: A
terrific singer who used to be in his church choir

Marcus Anderson

Mexico State University)
Prior to New Mexico State University,
Marcus attended Pasadena City College in Pasadena,
California, where as a Freshmen, he was named
2nd Team, All Conference Wide Receiver for the Mission
Football Conference, American Division. Marcus had
44 receptions for 366 yards and 3 TDs. He returned
4 punts for 44 yards and had 8 kickoff returns for 255
yards. His longest kickoff return was for 86
yards. Marcus also blocked 2 kicks.
As a sophomore, wide receiver/returner
Marcus Anderson was named All-American Second Team at the
all-purpose position after leading the Mission Conference
in punt and kick returning average. Anderson ran back a
punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the same game. He
also had back-to-back 40 reception seasons for PCC, an
achievement only made by teammate Reed in school history.
Anderson, a business major, also earned
honorable mention on the 2007 JC Grid-Wire
Academic All-American team despite having the team's
highest GPA. The company has a rule that prohibits a
player from making the scholar team if that player also
was chosen to the athletic performance first, second, or
third teams.
Marcus Anderson also was the recipient
of the John Hardy Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award.
Marcus graduated with a degree in Finance in 2010.

Texas. Anderson was a 2-year starter for the Horned
Frogs. In 1993 he led the team in tackles with 63
solo and 81 assisted. His best game that year was
when he recorded 20 tackles against Oklahoma State.
In 1994 Anderson had 94 tackles, 57 solo and 37
assisted. he notched 12 solo and 1 assisted tackle
against Texas Tech in the last game of the season. |

Per Bjornehammar
Per, or Pele, as he was known as an
exchange student from Sweden for 1 year at LBJ High School,
played football (Kicker and Fullback) and soccer for the
Jaguars. Per played running back on the Swedish
National football team that won the 2005 European
Championships and finished 2nd in the World Games in Duisberg, Germany
that year. In 2007 Per is a running back on the
Swedish National team competing in the World Games in
Kawasaki, Japan. In the opening round against France,
Per rushed for 108 yards and scored the winning touchdown on
a brutal 28 yard romp. |

Columbia, Missouri. Marshall had a great career LBJ
High School under head coach Freddy Roland. He earned
1st Team All-State and 1st Team All-Region honors his junior
and senior seasons. Marshall was a three-time
All-District selection and was named the Cen-Tex Player of
the Year by the Austin American-Statesman. He was the
No. 9-ranked small forward and the No. 54 player overall
according to RivalHoops.com. Marshall garnered a No.
45 overall ranking by PrepStars.com and participated in
several all-star games during his career at LBJ and earned
MVP honors at the What-a-Burger Classic, the Capital City
Classic and the LA Classic ... Averaged 24.0 points, 7.0
rebounds and 3.0 assists per game as a junior.

years following an outstanding career for the Missouri

Goalkeeper for the Fightin' Engineers, who play in the Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference. Buck started his
collegiate career at Ohio State before transferring to
Rose-Hulman.
- 4-year starting goalkeeper at LBJ… earned first
team all-district honors all four years … named
team's Most Valuable Player as a senior.
- Named 1st Team All Conference and Co-Newcomer
of the Year at Rose-Hulman.
- Buck established a school record with a 1.17 goals against average and allowed just 21 goals in 18 starts for the Engineers. He recorded a school record 11 victories, three shutouts, 72 saves and a .774 save percentage in net. Buck recorded a season-high seven saves on three occasions, including a 4-2 win at Wabash in
September 2005.
- Buck was the first Fightin' Engineer men's soccer
player to be named to the Great Lakes Region All
Region Soccer Team.

Ed was All-District playing football
for LBJ in 1980 and 1981. He was also a District
Champion in Track and Field. Byrd attended the U.S.
Air Force Academy where he excelled in Track for the
Cadets. He won the indoor Western Athletic
Conference 600M in 1984. In 1984-85 he was the
Academy's Outstanding Track Competitor. In 1995 he
was the Armed Forces 400M Champ and a member of the 1600M
relay team. Byrd was also on the Armed Forces 1600M
relay team in 1988. |

Ralph Carrington
Ralph ran varsity track for all 4 years
at LBJ. In 1987 he set the AISD record for the 300
meter hurdles with a time of 36:61. The record still
stands 20 years later. He ran a National best time of
50.97 in the 400 meter hurdles in 1987. Ralph was also part
of the 1600 meter relay team that set another AISD record
that still stands - 3:13:89. He played 2 years of
varsity basketball at LBJ and was team MVP, his junior year,
1986. Ralph accepted a track scholarship to Blinn
College. He was named an All-American in the 400 meter
hurdles, mile relay and the 1600 meter relay. |

in 2004. The Austin,Texas native played from 1997-98 at

Commerce.
He was a preseason All-Conference Lone Star selection in 1998.
Fletcher had four interceptions in his first five games as
a senior, before getting hurt. He was a top 25 pro prospect at his
position, who played at Ranger Junior College from 1995-96.
Fletcher was the Defensive Player of the Year as a corner back for the Southwest Junior College football conference in 1996.
He attended Austin LBJ High School where as a senior he was a Blue Chip prospect in the state of Texas as a wide receiver.
He was also an All-CenTex selection as a junior. Fletcher
has a B.A. degree in Health Education. He now resides in Dallas. |

Freeman was an All Big-8 linebacker in 1993.

Cyril "Hitman" Friday Cyril
Friday, aka " Hitman" played linebacker for
the Jaguars and at Southwest Texas State University (now
Texas State). He played for the Bobcats from 1980
thru 1983. "Hitman" was a 2-time second team All American
and three-time first team all-Lone Star Conference
performer. He played on 2 NCAA Division II national championship
teams under legendary Coach Jim Wacker. The team
went 13-1 in 1981 and 14-0 in 1982. Friday posted the 9th
best single season tackle mark with 119. He is still 5th
in career tackles with 362 and tied for second in career
sacks with 27.5. He was the SWT freshman of the year
in 1980 and defensive player of the year in 1983. His son, Avery "AC" Cleveland
also played linebacker at LBJ and attended SMU for 2 years. |

was a District champion, regional champion, and state
competitor in the 4x100 meter relay. He was also a member
of the Science Academy and the National Honor Society.
In his freshman year in college at TLU Max was a top
freshman prospect and earned a position at cornerback and
on special teams. Max also made the Dean's List and
was inducted into the Honor Society with a GPA of 3.8 his

Derrick Hill was a 6'8" Senior
Post at Louisiana State
University in Shreveport.. He played his junior
season at Midwestern State University
in Wichita Falls,
Texas. He spent the previous 2 years at Angelina Junior College.
Derrick Hill, a 6’8 transfer from Midwestern State University, earned two honors
in 2004-05 for his outstanding play. Derrick Hill led both the conference and the nation in blocked shots averaging 4.5 a game. He also led the conference in rebounding averaging 11 boards a game. This stat was good enough to rank him 5th in the country. For these numbers, Derrick was named to the All-Conference team and was selected as the GCAC Newcomer of the Year. |

Eric Holle was a 2-year letterman at
the University of Texas where he played Defensive
End. Holle was All-Southwest Conference selection in
1983. He was drafted in the 5th round, the 117th
overall pick, by the Kansas City Chiefs. Holle
played for the Chiefs from 1984 thru 1987. Holle
played with the Houston Oilers in 1989. |

of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Pictured with
Coach Houston Nutt. The 5'11', 175
lb. Houston played running back and cornerback in
high school. Rivals.com ranked him as the nation’s No.
32 cornerback. He was ranked as the No. 66 player in the
Texas Top 100. At LBJ he rushed for 426 yards and six
touchdowns before moving exclusively to cornerback in his
senior season. He also played guard on the Runnin' Jags
basketball team. IN addition to Arkansas, he was recruited
by LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Arizona, Houston and
Kansas State. He was a member of the PrepStar All-Region
IV Team. Chris was the 41st pick in the 2007 NFL
draft by the Atlanta Falcons. In March 2010, Chris
was traded to the Detroit Lions. |

Ray Jackson was one of the University
of Michigan's Fab Five, playing alongside Chris
Webber, Juwan Howard, Jalen Rose and Jimmy King. Jackson played all 4 years
at Michigan, averaging 10.1 ppg, while playing 26
minutes per game. The Fab Five made it to the NCAA
Tournament Championship game as freshmen in 1992, losing
to Duke. He was drafted in the 3rd round by the
Grand Rapid Hoops of the CBA and was Rookie of the Year in
1995-96. |

Blinn College. Mitchell earned Southwestern
Conference Newcomer of the Year honors in 1995 after
becoming just the sixth Longhorn to rush for more than
1,000 yards in a season (1,099 yards on 176 carries, 6.2
avg.). Mitchell played for the Longhorns from
1995-96 and has seen action professionally with the San
Francisco 49ers (National Football League), the London
Monarchs of (NFL Europe) and the Tulsa Talons and River

In Dallas played center and nose guard
and start all but one game.
Went on to play rugby after football shedding the pads and
pounds to be a formidable
threat running the ball up the pitch. Was selected
to the Texas Select
side in 93,94,95 and 96 was selected to the Western Select
side representing the western states in the US territory
in 94,95 and 96 and was selected to the USA Eagles in 1996
in the Pacific Rim
Championship.

graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice
and currently work for Dell computer as a services sales
consultant in Dell Federal Sales Division. |

Demo Odems Demo
Odems played WR on the University of Iowa team that won
the Alamo Bowl in 1996. Odems played 2 years for the
Grand Rapids Rampage of the Arena Football League.
Received Rampage Coaches' Award for efforts at WR and
DB. Odems coached for several years at LBJ High
School, then served as an assistant coach at Lancaster
(TX) High School. He returned to Austin to become
Head Coach and Athletic Director at Johnston High School for
the 2007 season. In the Spring of 2008 Odems returned
home to become Head Coach and Athletic Director at LBJ High
School. Odems resigned his position at LBJ to accept a
position as running backs coach at Montana State in the
spring of 2012. |

quarterbacked the Owls in 1984 and 1985 and played his way
into the Rice record book. In 1984 he led the
Southwest Conference in passing, completing 117 of 271
attempts, a .432 completion percentage. He threw for
1593 yards, 7 TDs and 16 interceptions. That same
year he led the Owls in total offense with 1620 yards, an
average of 147.3 per game. In 1985 versus Air Force,
Overton completed the longest passing play in Rice history
- an 86 yard completion to Elliston Stinson. he also
had a 75-yard completion to Keith Lewis against Baylor in
1984 - good for 8th on the all-time list. |

Chris Sanders Chris
Sanders was named to the 2nd Team of Dave Campbell's
"Texas Football Magazine" 1990 Super Team.
Sanders was a 6'5", 207 lb. Defensive Back at LBJ.
Sanders played receiver for Texas A&M in 1991, 1992,
1994 and 1995. Playing as a true freshman, he caught
3 passes for 36 yards. In 1994 he caught 22 passes
for 422 yards and 4 TDs. As a junior, Sanders led
the team with 19.2 yards per catch, including a 75-yard TD
against Baylor. As a senior he ranked 3rd on the
team with 23 catches for 281 yards. His best game
was against Texas Tech when he had 15 receptions for 77
yards. His career high was 107 yards vs. TCU in
1994. In all, Sanders started 16 games for the Aggies,
including 10 as a senior in 1995. Chris went on to
play for the Houston Oilers and the Washington Redskins
in the NFL. |

Sedrick Shaw had a stellar football
career at the University of
Iowa. He left Iowa as
the all-time leading rusher in Iowa history with 4156
yards on 837 carries and 33 TDs. He was MVP of the 1996
Alamo Bowl. Shaw was a 3rd round
draft pick of the New England Patriots. In 1999 Shaw
was traded to the Cleveland Browns and ended his NFL
career with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2000. |

(1998-1999). Truitt earned 1st team MIAA
All-Conference honors as a defensive back in 1998 and
1999. Truitt
also participated in track for CMSU, running the 100m,
200m and 400m. Since
graduating from CMSU in 1999, Truitt has played in the
National Indoor Football League for the Sioux City Bandits
in Sioux City, Iowa. He plays defensive back and
running back for the Bandits. |

Joseph Turner
Texas Christian University (TCU),
Fort Worth, Texas. Redshirted as a true freshman.
In 2006 as a sophomore rushed for 166 yards, 6.9 per
carry. 2007 TCU's leading rusher with 597 yards, 5.2
yards per carry and 6 TDs. Selected by teammates
as TCU's Offensive Most Valuable Player. Rushed
for 226 yards and 4 TDS on 33 carries against San Diego
State. This is the 14th best single game rushing
performance in TCU history. It earned Turner the
Mountain West Conference Player of the Week. 2008
Turner again topped TCU in rushing with 577 yards and 11
TDs. The 11 TDs tied Turner for 4th in the
Mountain West Conference.
At LBJ High School, Turner rushed for 1089 yards as a
junior. He had 735 yards rushing thru 4 games
before sustaining a season-ending knee injury as a
senior. Lettered in football and track at LBJ.
Has a career best time of 20.9 in the 200 meters, as a
junior. Was district champ in the 100 and 200
meters and placed 2nd in Regionals and 5th in State in
the 2005.
Joseph graduated from TCU in 2010. |
