Director / Head Football Coach
Coach
Demosesneeds Odems, III
graduated from LBJ High School where he was a standout
three sport athlete (football, basketball and track).
He was an All State Receiver for the Jaguars and was Team
Captain. He attended the University of Iowa where he
was a four year letter winner. Coach Odems returned to
his high school alma mater to coach for his former high
school coach, Jim Davis. During that time he also
played Indoor Football for the Texas Terminators. He
then went on to play Arena Football for the Grand Rapids
Rampage, where he as an All Ironman Receiver. After
five years as an assistant coach at LBJ, Coach Odems moved
to Lancaster, Texas to be the Offensive Coordinator for the
Lancaster High School Tigers.
In 2005, he was a Graduate Assistant Coach at the University of
Wisconsin. He was a part of their Capital One Bowl victory over
the highly ranked Auburn Tigers. In 2006, he became the receivers
coach at the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
He returned to Austin in 2007 and coached Johnston High School.
He now serves as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for the LBJ
Jaguars. Coach Odems is married to Kimberly and they have one
son, Justin. |

| Offensive Line Coach
Coach
Glen McNiel has been teaching and coaching at LBJ for the
past 25 years. He coaches the Offensive Line, Girls
Soccer, Boys Track and teaches geometry during the day.
Coach McNiel has a B.S. in Mathematics from the University
Of Texas and a Masters in Education Administration from
Texas State University. Coach McNiel and his wife,
Rachel, have two children; Daniel, a 2007 LBJ graduate and
David, LBJ Class of 2012. |
Defensive Line Coach
Coach
Randy Abendroth is a fifth year coach at LBJ. he
previously coached at Somerville High School.
In 1974, he was named All District in Baseball
and Football, and was a member of the All State Tournament
Baseball Team. Coach Abendroth played baseball at
Blinn College, in Brenham, from 1974-1976 and at the University of
Houston from 1976-1978. He graduated from Prairie View
in 1998 He is the father of Tanner - 25, Eligh -
22, Blaise - 20 and Tye - 13. Coach Abendroth coaches
the Defensive Line and Boys Soccer. |
Freshmen Offensive Coordinator
Coach
Brian Castillo is a fourth year coach at LBJ High School.
He is from McAllen, Texas and graduated from he University
of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a Bachelors degree in
History.
Coach Castillo is the Offensive Coordinator for the LBJ
Freshmen team. |
| Reginal DuBose
Coach
Reginal DuBose is in his second year of coaching at LBJ High
School. He was born and raised in Cullen , Louisiana,
where he graduated from Springhill High School in 1997.
Coach DuBose earned an undergraduate degree in Business
Education from Southern Arkansas University in 2003.
In 2007 he received a Master of Business Administration from
the University of Phoenix. He coaches the Freshmen
Football Team and the Freshmen Girls Basketball Team.
For the 3 years prior to coming to LBJ, Coach DuBose
taught and coached at Manor Independent School District.
He is the father of a two year old daughter, Eliana. |
Cipriano Martinez
Coach
Martinez is beginning his tenth year at LBJ High School.
He previously coached Soccer and Football at Del Rio High
School for eight years.
Coach Martinez obtained his B.S in Industrial Arts and
M.Ed in Counseling with Special Education Endorsement from
Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas.
Coach Martinez is the Head Coach of the Freshmen Football
Team and the Varsity Boys Soccer Team.
He is married to Hopie. |
Coach Kendrick Broadus
Coach Broadus is in his second year at LBJ. He coaches
cornerbacks. Coach Broadus will also coach the LBJ
freshmen basketball team.
He is a graduate of Dallas Carter High School and holds a
bachelor degree from Stephen F. Austin University in
Nacogdoches, Texas.
Coach Broadus is married to Bridget and they are the parents
of a two year old son. |
| Pedro Moreno, IV

Coach Moreno is in his second year at LBJ. He
coaches Defensive Backs and Safeties and is the Assistant
Girls Softball Coach. He previously coached at
Johnston High School for one year and West Oso-Corpus
Christi for four years.
Coach Moreno graduated from Raymondville High School.
He attended Texas A&I University-Kingsville and graduated
from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in 2006.
Coach Moreno and his wife, Velma, have been married for
13 years and have three children, CJ
- 16, Desiree - 12 and Mark -11. |
Assistant
Head Football Coach/Co-Offensive Coordinator
Charles Taylor
Coach Charles Taylor is entering his fourth year at LBJ High
School and his thirteenth year as a football coach. He
coaches the Quarterbacks and is the Head Boys Track Coach.
Previously he was Co-offensive Coordinator and Head Track
Coach at Akins High School. He began his coaching career as
the Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach at Kealing
Junior High School.
Coach Taylor is a graduate of
the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of
the Track & Field Team. He also holds a Masters Degree in
Educational Administration from Lamar University in
Beaumont.
He and his wife, Mary Beth,
have been married for nine years and have a two year old
son, Cole, who is a big Jaguar Fan. |
Vincent Kyle
Coach
Kyle has been coaching for 9 years and is in his second year
at LBJ. He coaches the Running Backs and Girls Track.
Previously he was the Director of Operations of
Clutchtime Sports. Home of Camp LT is hosted at Texas
Christian University (TCU) and Baylor University.
He previously coached at Manor, Temple and Austin Reagan.
Coach Kyle graduated from Angelo State University and
teaches Special Education at LBJ.
Coach Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife and three
children. He is an avid golfer.
